Day 1  March 19  Arrival in Dushanbe (International Arrival)

Location: Dushanbe

Arrival at Dushanbe International Airport

  • Meet our driver and transfer to hotel
  • Early check-in (subject to availability)
  • Rest after flight

Optional (if time allows):

  • Short evening walk in Rudaki Avenue
  • Welcome dinner featuring traditional Tajik dishes (osh, sambusa, non)
  • Overnight: Dushanbe

Day 2  March 20  Dushanbe City Tour & Navruz Preparations

Location: Dushanbe

Morning:

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit National Museum of Tajikistan (history, archaeology, Buddhist heritage)
  • Explore Ismoil Somoni Monument & Square
  • Walk through Rudaki Park

Afternoon:

  • Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Visit Mehrgon Market to see Navruz food preparations (sumalak ingredients, dried fruits, nuts)
  • Visit Flagpole of Dushanbe (one of the tallest in the world)

Evening:

  • Cultural show with traditional music and dances (Navruz-themed if available)
  • Dinner

Overnight: Dushanbe

Day 3 March 21 Navruz Celebrations & Hissar Fortress Excursion

Location: Dushanbe – Hissar – Dushanbe

Morning:

  • Breakfast
  • Drive to Hissar Fortress (30 km)
  • Explore the restored fortress, madrasa, and old caravanserai

Afternoon:

  • Return to Dushanbe for lunch
  • Attend Navruz public celebrations (usually held in parks or stadiums):
  • Traditional games
  • Folk music & dances
  • Craft exhibitions
  • Sumalak tasting

Evening:

  • Festive Navruz dinner
  • Free time

Overnight: Dushanbe

Day 4 March 22 Dushanbe to Panjakent (Ancient Sogdiana)

Location: Panjakent

Morning:

  • Early breakfast
  • Drive to Panjakent via the scenic Anzob Pass / Istiklol Tunnel (approx. 5 hours)

Afternoon:

  • Lunch upon arrival
  • Visit Ancient Panjakent Ruins (Sogdian city, 5th–8th centuries)
  • Visit Rudaki Museum (birthplace of the famous Persian poet)

Evening:

  • Walk around Panjakent town
  • Dinner with local family or restaurant

Overnight: Panjakent

Day 5 March 23 Panjakent to Khujand

Location: Khujand

Morning:

  • Breakfast
  • Drive toward Khujand through northern Tajikistan (approx. 4–5 hours)

Afternoon:

  • Lunch in Khujand
  • Visit Sheikh Muslihiddin Complex
  • Explore Panjshanbe Bazaar (largest market in northern Tajikistan, very lively during Navruz)

Evening:

  • Walk along Syr Darya River
  • Dinner

Overnight: Khujand

Day 6 March 24 Khujand City Tour & Navruz Traditions

Location: Khujand

Morning:

  • Breakfast
  • Visit Khujand Fortress & Historical Museum
  • Explore Arbob Cultural Palace (symbol of Tajik heritage)

Afternoon:

  • Lunch
  • Participate in local Navruz-related activities (folk performances, seasonal foods, crafts)
  • Visit local teahouse

Evening:

  • Farewell dinner with traditional music

Overnight: Khujand

Day 7 March 25 Departure from Tajikistan

Location: Dushanbe

  • Early breakfast
  • Transfer from Khujand to Dushanbe. 
  • Transfer to Dushanbe International Airport
  • International departure.

End of tour!
